Daniele Cavalli, the son of Roberto and Eva Cavalli, is leaving the family-run label, where he held the position of menswear creative director. His father will assume his responsibilities. Daniele Cavalli's name regularly features in the Italian press, thanks in part to his relationship with Victoria's Secret model Magdalena Frackowiak.
The news is one of several shake-ups for the brand, with CEO Gianluca Brozzetti and chief operating officer Carlo Di Biagio recently stepping down for their roles. Speculation also emerged this morning that the label could soon to be up for sale - rumours that the company has fast dismissed. The Finnancial Times reported today that the Italian fashion house is in talks with London private equity group Permira to buy a majority stake in the company, although a spokesperson for Cavalli said there was no truth to this.
The firm enjoyed a 9.3 per cent growth in revenue last year, with net sales rising to €201 million.
