Naomi Campbell did not approach Miranda Kerr to star in the Australian version of The Face, despite stories to the contrary. The supermodel - whose successful modelling panel show franchise has already appeared on British and American screens - signed model and jewellery designer Nicole Trunfio for the Australian show, which started filming yesterday, and asserted that she certainly wasn't second choice.
"Naomi did not approach Miranda Kerr to take part in The Face Australia," an official spokesperson for Campbell told us today. "Naomi thinks highly of Miranda, but they never spoke about her joining the show and the current story that is circulating is not accurate."
The story first appear on the New York Post last week, which claimed that "Naomi's team reached out to her but Miranda was already committed to other things". Kerr is currently based in New York and has most recently been pictured spending time with her son, following her split from husband Orlando Bloom.
