Straight after wowing on the spring/summer 2015 catwalks, Naomi Campbell has secured her next project a new acting role in Empire, Fox's popular series that IMDB calls "a unique family drama set in the world of a hip-hop empire".
Directed by Lee Daniels, Campbell will take on the role of Camilla, "an alluring woman involved in a steamy affair" with the heir to the family fortune, according to The Hollywood Reporter."
"Naomi is a beautiful actress. Underrated in my mind," said Daniels. "She will be wonderful as Camilla. I am truly thrilled to have one of my close friends join us."
For Campbell, the new string to her bow is a poignant one.
"It's an honour to follow in the footsteps of actresses like Halle Berry, Oprah, Gabourey Sidibe and Mo'Nique and work with Lee Daniels. I'm looking forward to joining Lee and this amazing cast on set."
The role is not Campbell's first foray into fiction. The model has 18 acting credits to her name, most recently 2009's Karma, Confessions and Holi.
