Rita Role In Fifty Shades Confirmed

Rita Ora has been cast in the new film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey, playing leading man Christian Grey's adoptive sister, Mia Grey.

She will star alongside Jamie Dornan, who plays Christian Grey, and Dakota Johnson, who has been cast as Anastasia Steele, in the Sam Taylor-Johnson directed film - based on the erotic novel by British author EL James - which began shooting earlier this week. 

"It's official!" Ora announced on Twitter yesterday. "I've been cast in @FiftyShades of Grey as Christian's sister Mia."

The singer had her acting debut in 2004, in British film Spivs, and also had a cameo part in  Fast & Furious 6, released earlier this year.

Rita Ora For Adidas?

Adidas has not yet commented on speculation that Rita Ora is designing a collection for the brand. A spokesperson for the sportswear label could not be reached.

Speculation arose yesterday that the singer has signed a £1.5 million deal with Adidas to create a line, although it is not known what the range would include. Other high-profile names to design for the brand include Stella McCartney, Jeremy Scott and Raf Simons.

The 22-year-old has already signed up to launch a beauty collection for Rimmel, which will land in February 2014.
