McQueen Centre Of Discrimination Lawsuit

Alexander McQueen has released a statement regarding allegations of discrimination in the workplace, after a former sales assistant filed a lawsuit in America.

"Alexander McQueen is committed to equality in the workplace, and we are proud of our diverse employee base," a McQueen representative said. "We take any allegations of this nature seriously and will always investigate them thoroughly, but we will not comment on individual cases."

Moselle Blanco, who used to work at the label's Manhattan flagship store, alleged that her former bosses called her names such as "burrito face", "Goya princess", told her that she had "greasy hands like a Mexican" and spread false rumours about her.

Blanco allegedly endured the insults for a decade, after managers "made light" of her complaints. She was sacked in September 2012, allegedly for not retrieving a dress sent to cookbook author Jessica Seinfeld on consignment.
