Another Exit For The Cavallis
Daniele Cavalli, the son of Roberto and Eva Cavalli, is leaving the family-run label, where he held the position of menswear creative director. His father will assume his responsibilities. Daniele Cavalli's name regularly features in the Italian press, thanks in part to his relationship with Victoria's Secret model Magdalena Frackowiak.
The news is one of several shake-ups for the brand, with CEO Gianluca Brozzetti and chief operating officer Carlo Di Biagio recently stepping down for their roles. Speculation also emerged this morning that the label could soon to be up for sale - rumours that the company has fast dismissed. The Finnancial Times reported today that the Italian fashion house is in talks with London private equity group Permira to buy a majority stake in the company, although a spokesperson for Cavalli said there was no truth to this.
The firm enjoyed a 9.3 per cent growth in revenue last year, with net sales rising to €201 million.

The Winds Of Change Hit Cavalli
Changes are afoot at Roberto Cavalli, where both the chief executive officer, Gianluca Brozzetti, and the chief operating officer, Carlo Di Biagio, have left the company. Even more unusual than a high-level double exit is the news that the two executives will not be immediately replaced. Instead Cavalli himself will share their duties with Daniele Corvasce, the company's corporate legal affairs director.
So, what has prompted this change at the top? Not a drop in sales, since the Italian label posted healthy growth figures - of 9.3 per cent to €201 million - for the year ending December 31, 2013. More curious still, the move seems to represent that most unique of fashion occurrences: an amicable, mutual decision between two parties.
"I appreciated the experience, professionalism and great discipline they brought to the company, so that it could be stronger and ready for future growth challenges," Cavalli told WWD, while Brozetti added: "It's been a great honour to work with one of the biggest creative talents of Italian fashion. In these years, we have appreciated the great talent of the designer and, learning to look at things from different angles, together we have succeeded in creating the growth on international markets that this brand deserves."
The exectutives - who have not yet confirmed their next move - will remain as minority shareholders in the Cavalli group.

Miley's Cavalli Tour Transformation
Having already been announced as the face of Marc Jacob's spring/summer 2014 campaign, Miley Cyrus continued her transition from tween television star to bona fide fashion name (via controversial twerking and tongue- and bottom-exposing stage performances) with the announcement that Roberto Cavalli will create the costumes for her forthcoming bangers tour.
Jumpsuits are key to Cyrus's tour look - with a sheer black zebra-patterned one competing for attention with an entirely sheer style completed with crystals to cover the singer's decency. Denim hotpants are accessorised with an array of tiny tops and denim jackets, with a little leopard print added just for good measure. Well, if she wanted to change her spots and become pared-down and minimal for her new tour, she wouldn't have gone to the king of maximalism, would she?
Cavalli has previously created tour costumes for stars including Beyoncé, Cheryl Cole and the Spice Girls.
